One of the many joys of dating an American Girl (cue Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers…) is the differences in the language ( I may have mentioned this a time or two before!) and this weekend I learnt what canning was, it’s what we Brits call making Jam, which the Americans call Jelly. In Britain Jelly is what the Americans call Jello….
Anyway, putting aside the language variations, Tara‘s been busy Canning or Jammin’ (cue Bob Marley…) this weekend. Here’s a photo of the fruits of her labour (see what I did there?), there’s four jars of Strawberry & Rhubarb Jam/Jelly and two jars of Pickled Shallots (I don’t think there’s an alternative American version of Shallots, is there?)
